Dr. Victor M. Pedro
Dr. Victor M. Pedro is founder and director of Rhode Island Integrated Medicine. He pioneered the development of the scientific research-based Cortical Integrative Therapy (CIT®). A graduate of the University of Vermont, Dr. Pedro received his doctorate from the New York Chiropractic College.Following his post-doctoral studies, which focused on Neurology, Dr. Pedro received his Diplomate Degree from the American College of Chiropractic Neurology. His interests in learning difficulties lead Dr. Pedro to further specialize in Learning Disabilities at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. He is credentialed by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board as a Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist (VRS) and is separately certified in Childhood Developmental Disorders (CDD). Dr. Pedro also serves on the organization's board for Vestibular Disorders and is the chairman of the Childhood Development Disorders examination committee.
Dr. Pedro lectures extensively and serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College. He is the recipient of several awards, including the QiEn es QiEn in Medical Care and a citation from the State of Rhode Island for his care and dedication to the people of Rhode Island. In July 2005, a case study coauthored by Dr. Pedro appeared in the International Journal of Neuroscience.
Lorraine Pedro
Lorraine Pedro, LICSW, is a Psychotherapist specializing in children and families. She holds a Master Degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regis College. She is a member of Psi Chi (National Honor Society in Psychology) and Phi Theta Kappa (National Honor Society).Lorraine has worked as a trauma therapist with abused children and their families as well as a crisis counselor for families in crisis. Lorraine has been with Rhode Island Integrative Medicine since its inception and she is available to all families involved in the program for support and guidance.
