Rhode Island Integrated Medicine: Cortical Integrative Therapy

	Beyond the objective, quantifiable measurements of improvement recorded every day are the heartwarming testimonials that we receive from patients, family members, educators, and health professionals. Our patients have come to us from eight states and four foreign countries including referrals from such institutions as Brown University Medical School, Harvard Medical School, and Children's Hospital Boston. For many of them, Rhode Island Integrated Medicine was their last chance, their final hope. Here are some excerpts of what they have to say about our treatment programs. Dolores "We have tried everything to improve Trevor's condition and give him a better life. We have spent many, many hours at pediatric neurologists, pediatric ophthalmologists, [and] had several courses of early intervention physical therapy, occupational therapy, visual and speech therapy. My wife even moved back to the Czech Republic for eight months with our son to enable him [to] have a form of physical therapy available there, but not in the United States. None of these treatments had any lasting effect, and Trevor's Czech neurologist indicated that he would not improve. Kennedy Member of Congress "I became a patient of Dr. Pedro about one month ago. In 1997, I was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma and had brain surgery. [After the surgery] I experienced a number of problems such as vertigo, severe loss of balance, panic attacks and had difficulty breathing to the point that I had to use an inhaler from time to time. I also experienced difficulty swallowing, facial paralysis, and had poor digestion. Basically, I had a poor sense of well-being.
